W&W Wins $750,000 Securities Fraud Judgment
The Firm is pleased to announce that its litigation team today delivered a $750,000 judgment for its client in a complex securities fraud matter. United States District Judge Cormac J. Carney ordered the defendants to pay both the actual investment lost, and two times that amount in punitive damages. Per lead trial counsel L. Richard Walton, "This case started in Texas for one of our Houston clients, wound its way through courts there and here, and ended today in Santa Ana, California--with a well deserved win for a victim of blatant fraud." "I join the rest of the Firm in congratulating Rich and his trial team on this important victory," said litigation department chair Jim DeBardelaben. "We are delighted with this result, as we are with every win we deliver for our clients."
